Full-time Clinical Dietitian, with day/hour flexibility, working closely with other licensed dietitians, to follow the NCP to provide optimal nutritional care to patients in our acute hospital, emergency department, and ambulatory service areas (Oncology Services, Bariatric Services, Diabetes Services, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Infusion Services and Surgical Services). The Clinical Dietitian communicates the client’s nutritional needs/status to health care professionals and serves as the nutrition expert on the hospital’s interdisciplinary health care teams.
May provide nutrition services to our offsite clinics (Windsor, Osceola, and Warsaw) and Home Services (Home Health and Hospice) as well as our CMS-approved, ADA-recognized diabetes program.
Takes needed actions to have adequate staffing coverage, including weekends and holidays, to meet the nutritional needs of the patients we serve.
Serves as the nutrition expert for teaching, validation and training staff, acting as a preceptor for dietetic students or those shadowing/interested in dietetics.
Candidate must be a good communicator and have a passion for nutrition with ongoing learning and sharing of knowledge to support the team. May assist with group classes, support groups, health fairs and other services for our patients, staff or the community we serve.
Works closely with others to ensure that department nutrition policies, modified diet menus and standards are followed to provide quality food, service, and nutrition. This may include training and auditing the nutrition services provided by the call center associates, hospitality staff or room service cooks. May participate on teams/committees to serve as the nutrition expert.
Education Qualifications:
Minimum as required for registration and licensure in MO for Dietitian Nutritionist.
Master's degree from an accredited institution with major in food and nutrition preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in MO or eligible (must obtain within 90 days); or
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), Commission on Dietetic Registration or eligible (must obtain within 90 days)
Valid MO driver's license with proof of motor vehicle insurance
Memberships:Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred
